Diane Stone is Practice Administrator and will be only too

Practice
Nurses
By appointment, Anna Larcombe, Helen Gunner and our
Phlebotomist, Pauline Lucas, see patients of all ages in the
surgery. As well as treatment room duties, e.g. dressings, suture
removal, ear syringing, etc. their key roles are health promotion,
disease prevention, including running asthma and diabetic clinics,
cervical smears and travel vaccinations and advice.
Nurse general
access appointments are also available for certain conditions.

District
Nurses
Elizabeth Fletcher and Sally Staniforth work closely with the
doctors to provide treatment for patients at home. They also
advise about care, convalescence and services that are available
after discharge from hospital. To contact the district nurses
please leave a message at reception.

Health
Visitors
The role of the health visitors, Elizabeth Winks and Ruth Davis,
includes health promotion in all age groups, providing practical
support to people in their homes, especially families with
children under 5. Routine surveillance is
offered to pre-school children in conjunction with the doctors.
The Health Visitors can be contacted by ringing 01280 815610
between 9.00am and 10.00am am and 4.00pm and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Messages can
be left on their answer machine or at Reception.

Midwife
Kathy Dearden holds ante-natal clinics at the surgery on Thursdays
and she works closely with the doctors to provide care for ante
and post natal patients.
|
|
|
The
Mental Health Team
Provides a comprehensive service for people with a variety of
emotional and mental health problems. The team includes a
consultant psychiatrist, community psychiatric nurses, clinical
psychologist and occupational therapist. Referral is via your GP.
Members of the team can be contacted by leaving a message at
reception. A counselling service is available and referral is via
your GP. |
