Appointments With The Doctor

bullet Open access sessions are held each morning from Monday to Friday.

bullet These appointments are not pre-bookable; they are book-on-the-day appointments and can be accessed by contacting the Surgery from 8.00am by telephone or in person.

bullet The receptionist will allocate a doctor and time for your appointment.

bullet Afternoon surgeries are normally held between 4.00pm and 6.00pm. These are booked appointments.

bullet Please note 10 minutes is allocated for all routine appointments. When booking please tell the receptionist if you feel that you need extra time with the doctor.

bullet Those requiring a doctor urgently will always be offered an appointment on the same day. This may be for 5 minutes only and may be with the duty doctor.

Appointments With The Nurse

bullet Nurse open access appointments are now available.

bullet These fast track appointments will normally be available in the mornings on the day you call.

bullet These appointments are for problems such as, coughs, sore throats, earache, hayfever, rash, cystitis, emergency contraception and minor injuries.

bullet If you have one problem that you think can be dealt within the new fast track clinic, please ask for an appointment at reception. If you are unsure about this service, please ask for further information from the Receptionist.

Telephone Appointments

bullet Telephone appointments can be made with the doctor by phoning the surgery in the normal manner and requesting one. These are normally only available at the end of morning surgery.

bullet At all other times please note the receptionists have been asked not to interrupt the doctor except in cases of emergency. You may, therefore, be asked to phone back or leave a telephone number for the doctor to contact you later.
